I was so excited to see the following stamps at the Post Office. I also was excited with the slogan up top!

That's what Studio 206 is all about. Sending a smile!

Just as the Post Office says...Can you send a smile? Absolutely! In fact, it is as easy as sending a letter, a card or a thoughtful surprise to someone you care about!

And when you open your mailbox to discover that someone has thought about you and even chosen a special stamp to "Mail a Smile" it brings and extra burst of sunshine to the day!

Or did you have a pen pal?

Both our boys have pen pals. It is so much fun to see how excited they get to receive a letter. 

They love to get mail.

Yes, e mail, texting and facebook are all fun.

But a letter in the mail, it really is special!

I have a friend who had a pen pal from England for many years. This year she was able to go over to England and meet her pen pal face to face. How exciting!

Have you met your pen pal?

I know the boys hope to meet the special friends they have made from writing letters.

Ever tried mailing a Coconut?

Check out our shop for fun photo cards Studio 206

We all have mailed bulky boxes, but what if you tried to mail something a little more unusual?

Feather Duster: the card with postage and address was attached by wire to the handle. Days to notice of delivery, 6!

Rose: Postage and address were attached to a card that was tied to the stem. Delivery at doorstep, 3 days, beat up but the rose bud was still attached.

Coconut: Fresh green coconut containing juice, mailed in Hawaii. Delivery at doorstep, 10 days.

Football: Days to delivery, 6. Male postal carrier was talkative and asked recipient about the scores of various current games. Carrier noted that mail must be wrapped.

"To everything - there is a season"

Sometimes it is hard to know what to say to the friend that is hurting. Here are a few hints:

I know this is a difficult time you're going through, and I want to stand with you. I want to help you; can I bring a meal?

It is important to offer suggestions such as bringing a meal, meeting for coffee, driving to appointments, etc.

 

Get Well Soon

It is never fun to be sick during the summer. Or do you have a family member who ended up having surgery? A fun way to cheer someone up is to make them laugh! This fella is for sure to do that!

You know all about Angry Birds! This fun guy is just waiting for a chance to cheer someones day.
